The devaluation of the role of fathers

In the state's eyes, non-custodial fathers are seen as breadwinners and nothing more. Further, the state also has shown it believes that fathers need little or no interaction whatsoever with their own children. The state’s toxic and discriminatory practices and beliefs were never in the best interests of the children, and they have only caused fathers to ultimately abandon their children and/or retreat into America’s underground society.
